After studying architecture, Christian moved through various positions in the industry, starting on the design side as an architect for office and factory buildings, before switching to the client side as a project manager, spending time in China and the USA. After going back to university to add an MBA degree, he worked as a strategy consultant for large-scale real estate projects before he had the chance to trade suit and tie for sneakers ... in and never looked back. Christian joined adidas in 2013 to lead the 30+ hectar HQ campus expansion and in 2016 he took over the global responsibility for corporate real estate.
His recent projects include the relocation of the Reebok HQ from Canton to Boston, the new APAC HQ in Shanghai, the Portland Campus expansion and the expansion of the adidas »world of sports« HQ in Germany. His goal is not just to create denser and more office space, but to create a workplace that matters and to create a creative climate to make a difference. While adidas already has amazing workplaces and working spirit, he firmly believes that there is always room for improvement. For this we need to look beyond the amazing architecture and to understand what kind of functionality we need to provide. As a firm believer in collaboration for the source of innovation, he strives to create collisions between users to foster collaboration and create serendipitous moments in an environment that you want to belong to.
After working all over the world for the last 15 years, Christian is now living with his wife and two kids in Fuerth, Germany.
